Things are getting scary out there for the whole LGBT+ community. Fascism is on the rise and the only thing the fascists want more than power is for out groups like us to end up underground, literally or not. But there is nothing more amazing than seeing the surge of defiant middle fingers raised to that with a strong opening to our pride. Sadly a time may come when pride will look much more like the original, with trans women and drag queens and the whole community will be grabbing bricks in self defense once again. But it warms my heart that from our support it feels like our volley could pave all of New York and then some!
So happy pride month to all the Ls, Gs, B/Ps, Ts, all the queer community, and especially my fellow aros, aces, and NBs!
