Hello everyone,

sometimes random ideas for drawings pop up in my head and I have to bring them to life. Same thing happened with K.K. Slider, my favourite character from Animal Crossing (aside of Isabelle) as I imagined him from back in the old days, in the first ever Animal Crossing game as he was just found playing his music near the train station as a Stray Dog.

I always invisioned K.K. as the from rags to riches kind of character. He starts out as a nobody, playing his music all by himself at a train station, travelling the land all by himself and straying around. Later he'd become the greates musician the Animal Crossing World has ever seen. But the beginning wasn't that easy for him, sometimes he'd be sitting there in the rain with noone around to listen to his tunes. That's what I wanted to show here with this drawing. I gave him a leather jacket since I would have felt bad for him without one, out there in the cold and wet with rain pouring onto him and his beloved guitar. This dog might be some sort of a brat, probably escaping from his family and trying to live life in freedom, so I can imagine him being somewhat rebellious at first until he starts to soften up later. His voice was shaped a little by smoking in his early teenage and adult years, but I don't think he'd smoke nowadays anymore.
Anyways, I wanted to draw a somewhat monochrome looking image, painting the landscape of Animal Crossing with the same shades of torquoise and making him stand out with his white fur. I did put a lot of time, care and effort into this drawing and I hope it shows! I'm especially happy with how I drew his face and guitar, as wlel as the small details in the background (such as the flying present or the snail on a rock that only appears during rain times in the game). I really hope you'll like this drawing as much as I do, even if it isn't too special^^
