The Pehroon belongs to a unique group of creatures known as "gleiters"; gleiters are somewhat serpentine, flying creatures that are native to the Fae Realm.
Primarily sighted in the Fae Realm, this aerial predator has also been known to appear in the mountainous regions of the Mortal Realm, as well as in the Celestial Realm, where it hunts using powerful electric discharges to incapacitate its prey and swoop after it as it falls from the sky. Fortunately for humanoid races, this species is both intelligent and sapient which makes it possible to communicate with it, thus preventing it from eating people. A good way to get on a pehroon's good side is via a musical performance (both it and other gleiters are very fond of wind instruments in particular).
While open to and capable of diplomacy, it is strongly advised to approach a pehroon with extreme caution; its elemental attacks are likened in power to actual thunderstorms. One lighting strike can obliterate a regular person.
