Hello everyone^^
I really felt nostalgic recently and felt the need to draw some My Little Pony images, starting with this touching scene between Applebloom and her big brother Big Macintosh after he tried his hardest to replace Applejack as the "cooler older sister" at the Sisterhoof Festival.
Obviously he's not a mare and neither is he as extravagant as a sibling as Applejack is, so he wishes to be just as cool and special to Applebloom as he used to be. Together, they have a lovely and heartwarming scene, sitting on a hill underneath a tree while enjoying the warm touches of the sunset around them, talking their hearts out. It truly felt like a gorgeous and special scene, so I wanted to draw it^^
It's been a while since I've worked with my Brushmarkers but I still enjoy it and will do much more with them the upcoming days! Capturing Big Mac's colours especially was satisfying, playing around with different shades of green for the grass and leaves on the tree felt so free and vibrant, I enjoyed working on this piece so much, adding a bit of a touch up with coloured pencils in the end. Really an illustration I enjoyed working on and that will be sad to let go off. However, this drawing will hopefully be sold, soon^^
What do you think about the scene and this illustration? Your feedback matters a lot!

That is some incredible attention to detail on a picture that, as a baseline, doesn't necessarily (as a concept) actually have that much detail. Not that you're going to get a complaint from me about detailing muscles and fur and grass and all that.
Also Brushmarkers are love and I need to work with those again sometime. They can take a ridiculous amount of time, but they are also so satisfying to, well, brush with.
Keep up with your inspiring work~
