Subete's life had taken a bit of a turn after the curse that give him his tail maws. They get fidgety and even a bit feisty if they haven't eaten anything for a while, since he has no actual control over their movements, nor can even directly feel them anymore . He also had to adjust his sleeping position choices after curling up into a ball for a nap and waking up with a burst of panic as one of the tail maws had started slipping over his muzzle in his sleep. Between trying to pick safe sleeping positions, and fighting the shifting weight of the tails, sometimes with a small prey in them, he woke up with more than one kink in his back that he couldn't quite stretch out. As he started to head out, he grumbled to himself about how it is going to be another one of those days, and how he couldn't wait to find away to get this curse removed, when he heard a slight crack of a branch and the sound of shifting leaves above him. He looked up in shock as he watched the lynx pounce down on his position, his body freezing as his mind caught up with the realization there was no way to dodge this crippling, if not lethal, attack. As the Lynx fell closer, almost in slow motion, he felt a sudden yank at the base of his tail, and stumbled a step forward, and the next thing he knew he was on his back, laying on something that was squirming hard. His heart racing, he was trying to process what happened, when another forceful yet seemingly padded thump from what was squirming under him cause a satisfying pop in his back, which brought him back to the moment, and he looked down to try and put together what happened. He saw he was on top of one of his tails, though it was bloated and squirming. The maw has just saved his life. Maybe this curse might have some perks too, he thought to himself as another seemingly more frantic slamming of the paws inside of the tail grazed one of the more stubborn knots in his back. "Ahhh... Come one, just struggle a little harder, you've almost got that kink worked out of my back". He knew the tails made quick work on the smaller prey, and guessed it wouldn't be long for the lynx to soften up, and wanted to take advantage of this while he could. Some perks indeed.
