I was lucky enough to get another commission from Spicemallow after SO LONG since the last one! ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/48216504/ )
We were pretty quick to settle on an idea. I sent a few ideas, but also a silly gif of someone on a bed kicking their legs and swaying their head from side to side, and it turned into this idea of Penelope laying in a very cozy spot while listening to a story!
She offered me two options in the sketches, both were for her expression, and neither of us could settle on one! Initially I thought the smile would be my favorite but the " :o " expression ended up being my favorite in the end ^.^ GO LOOK AT THE OTHER POST ON HER PAGE!
It being a pastel scene was decided pretty early on, and I showed some cute casual fairy kei kind of mix of references for an outfit, and mentioned I was on a Wish Me Mell kick lately, and...YEAH!
I absolutely adore when people play with her ears in pieces. Them being flopped unevenly is SO CUTE and I wish more people would do it!!
This is a seriously gorgeous piece! I'm really impressed by how clean everything is, especially around her face with her eyes and hair! All the textures used here are perfect, everything looks so SOFT and cozy! The lighting and shading is SO beautiful! Everything is so shiny and sparkly and reflective and...I just really like all the extra detail tossed in here!
I'm really happy the 'main' color of the outfit ended up being light blue, for her jacket thingy. I think that's a color she looks absolutely darling in and I want to feature it more! Those shorts are a mix of all my favorite colors though ;_; I love the addition of the little hair doodads and wrist accessories, and it's always so good to see a cute printed shirt, but honestly one of my favorite touches to this is the soft looking blanket that looks like it was doodled in with crayons/colored pencil ;_;
This all happened super fast from the get-go, and she was SUCH a delight to work with, so if you ever see her open for commissions and want to get one DO IT :D

Sorry, was just being weird and random in response to the title. Was kinda referencing Oprah, with how she'd do free giveaways on show sometimes. But the Brian part, I made up. The Hyper Scan is a crappy console that was so poor quality, they almost never worked as intended new out of the box, and when they did, none of the games were good and they all had really long loading screens.
