Soldier, Soldier (Won't You Marry Me?)
So I've known this song since I was a child. My father used to play it all the time on his dulcimer. It's one of those one's that I find myself humming for no particular reason while I'm doing busywork. It is a traditional American folk tune, the earliest known copy from 1903. The version I heard growing up has a slightly different melody than the traditional version. Not quite sure why.
