The coffee table has been there all along, I just haven't been drawing it after establishing it was there. Can only find two pages where that's definitely a factor, though.
My own coffee table periodically ends up pretty close to the couch, mostly depending on whether I or my roommate cleaned the living room last.

Yeah, but what I can tell in this shot, you can't fit any legs between the two. Well you can, but it would be a very tight fit. Take the fartest point of the couch and table then draw a vertical line on each and measure the distance.
