This is something that came to me today in a moment of melancholy and disappointment from.... something. I don't know, perhaps the world itself. Anyway, I thought I should write it, especially since I hadn't written in rhymes for quite a time and this friend of mine asked me for a few lyrics for his next songs. I hope he will like this for one.
I wrote it in a similar spirit as one of my favorites, "Awake" (although it's far not that good). Perhaps it's some random symbolism that today we had an election for the next parliament in my country. A vote which, as strongly suspected, was insolently bought and sold by certain people, and even falsified on a large scale by the same proven criminals who happened to be our government for the past 4 years. Sometimes I do not believe things in Bulgaria will ever change. They placed us all in their huge gruesome machine for money and nobody asked us, the people, about our opinion. And obviously no one ever will. So it is time to rise it ourselves.
Edit: A few days after I wrote the lyrics for "Unbreakable" my friend requested a few lines for a short intro to the song. I wrote that first chapter (the one in Italic) and I decided to add it to the text because it is sort of an integral part of the whole. I was actually happy he requested that verse because I kinda missed the chance to tell the story in the rhyme more profoundly. So now it is much more complete.
By the way, he said the response to that song and its lyrics in fb was extremely positive. I am happy people love it so much. They even called it his best song and my best lyrics. Kinda.... made me feel proud I'm part of it.
