The young black wolf, determined to find his dear little otter, makes a journey, out into the vast seas. He sails endlessly for weeks on end, guided only by feelings and vague dreams. The sapphire the little otter gave him shimmers, the wolf stops. Magic surrounds the wolf, creating a barrier to repel water. He dives into the ocean, finding that he slowly sinks to the ocean floor, the water unable to touch him but oxygen able to flow through his barrier. He picks up a pole he finds and traverses the ocean. Deeper and deeper he gets, crawling through caves and finding more and more depths to traverse in almost complete darkness. The deeper he went however, the brighter the sapphire shown. He attached it to the end of his walking stick and continued.
Days he stayed awake, he would not sleep in these unknown depths. He was lucky to have been avoiding danger, but he had run out of rations and his belly groaned miserably as he dragged himself along, on the brink of collapse, only the many happy thoughts of his little otter keeping his stiff legs moving. He couldnt see very well and suddenly, he fell, tumbling down a narrow vertical cave passage before hitting ground again. It was brighter here, wherever he was... He willed himself to his feet, his body screaming, begging him to rest, but he wouldnt have it, that wouldnt find his Haillinn. He was on a cliff, making his way to the end of it. A familiar feeling welled up in his gut... He looked out at a massive monolith-like structure, only about a mile from the cliff. He looked hard at it and he noticed something he would never even dare let himself forget, tears of joy welling up in his eyes.
The insignia Haillinn always claimed represented his hidden sea kingdom of Illyria where he hailed as Prince...
