We had the bondage climax. We had the action climax. Now it's the emotional climax. And THANKFULLY it's one of the shortest chapters in the story. My biggest hope for the chapter is that it served as a proper "goodbye" of sorts for all the characters we've followed throughout the story, or at least a proper way of them saying goodbye to each other. With this being the penultimate chapter, I think it's obvious what the final one is going to be about, but as for this specific continuity of these characters, this is it. It's the same resolution as the game, but this time everyone gets to have their moment to say a tearful farewell. I genuinely got a bit caught up in this one. It's not only their goodbyes, but mine as well, after nearly a year of writing the story.

But I'll save those final thoughts for the true conclusion to the fic. There's just one chapter left. ONE.
