when i was in the mental hospital i ALSO got covid. there was one unit dedicated to quarantine patients and i had my own room for a while, until i didnt. i wasnt very happy about it at first but this girl was the BEST. she wasnt even supposed to be roommates with me because the hospital had a rule against different sexes being roommates but we argued enough with staff that they just gave up. someone must have slipped up with one of our files and either thought i was a cis man or she was a cis girl. jokes on you the two out trans people are now roommates and inseparable.

she was in her early 30s and such a fun person. she had a mohawk that she was able to keep upright because her hair was matted lol. she took absolutely no shit from staff. she was a "mom friend" but Actually protective and kind instead of the devil incarnate.
she got discharged before her quarantine was up, and staff refused to give her a covid test before sending her out. she had immunocompromised roommates and told them she couldnt go home to them if she didnt know for sure she was negative. so they just discharged her into homelessness. our contact was cut so abruptly and under such bad circumstances that i missed her SO intensely. so i made her a warriors oc to cope lol.

i did the original sketch for this in my hospital notebook and im really happy it came out so well digitally! thats been happening more often lately, its exciting to see :]
