A small, "Dollhouse" (1/12) scale model figure I completely sculpted in epoxy putty back in the early 1990s. "Charley Greycoat" was a Lycalli character I created who was the one who reestablished contact between human astronauts and his Lupine people. This is also kind of a "Personal joke" showing the character posed as if he's "Working" in a live figure drawing class. When I was in college studying art, I would often fantasize about my various characters in the stories I was making up in my head appearing before the class. Who's to say that someday there might actually be a benign werewolf posing for a figure drawing class? Let's hope he's already had dinner.

You can see the fluffy tip of his tail just below his left knee in the shadows under the sear of the chair. During the "Burning Stone" Human-Lycalli uprisings, there was a "Hoomie" saying amongst the inexperienced soldiers saying, "How can one tell a Lycalli from a Werewolf?" The reply was, "If it's wagging it's tail, shoot it."
I recognize that 1/12th scale plastic rocking chair model. Chryanbon or something like that. I forget the spelling. I was building commerciial structures in that scale in the late 80's. Railroad station, auto repair shop, etc. Now I wonder if I should have been making polyurethane castings of things like radiators and other items to sell. Hmm.
You nailed it. I'm not certain if Chrysanbon is still in business, but I remembered buying two of the chairs because I originally wanted to sculpt two "Ma and Pa" critters in their later years, I don't even remember cutting off the rockers and modifying it onto a "Regular" chair. I wanted to make the chair look like a well weathered piece of furniture as since it was Lycalli made, it would look similar to Human furniture in function, but be subtly different.
woo yah. now if only you or i or one of somebody could do that in 1/48th. (yes i know i'm insane, but there really needs to be a line of anthros in 1/48th, 1/87th, maybe even 1/160th). oh well, some day, probably in your lifetime, and maybe in mine, when desktop rapid prototyping becomes affordable for all of us.
anyway, yah i love it. one of these days i'll either get that good or commission somebody to do so.
anyway too, i had no idea until now you did stuff like this. i like a lot. and as they say "MOAR" please.

My friend Michael is very fond of modeling and sculpting in 1/48th scale. Of course his stuff is much more "Racy" than mine. I've been trying to get him to use epoxy putty for years, but he prefers Sculpy and modifying model figures with a saw and "Green Stuff" modeler's filler putty.
Yeah. There's another "Joke" in the pose of the figure. Looking at him from the top, it appears as if his eyes are closed, and then when one tips the figure up to look at the face full on, they can see his bright, gold yellow eyes half shut, and looking back. My original idea concerning the pose was that Charley was fatigued because he was "Up studying all Day."
I must confess that of all the things that I created and gave away over the years, this is the one piece I truly should have kept. I gave the figure away to my Musician friend Bob who I loosely based Charley's personality on. I never knew if he appreciated the gift, or if he ever got it, and for all I know, it's more than likely in a landfill by now.
