Here's a photo of a sculpture I made of a Quange Stallion character I named "Stormbringer." Based on a plastic horse model of an Arabian Stallion, most of the figure was modified with "A&B" epoxy putty, Bondo, various plastic model style fillers. (Green stuff.) and finally finished in automotive lacquers. I think there's about twelve layers of finish on this figure, including three coats of primer, a coat of gloss black, a thin layer of like 10 to 100 iridescent blue fingernail polish, and finally three coats of Flat finish and a sealer. The result is a stunning "Raven Black" with bluish highlights, and deep purple shadows.
Stormbringer's story is based on his magical abilities which focus on his tools featuring the staff and the pendant hanging around his neck. The pendant has four transparent windows in it, and his quest is to find a place in his world where the four colors of blue, red, yellow and green match. That's about as far as his story I've gotten into.
