It took me two weeks but my decision is finally made: I will no longer upload my works on this account.

This account will not be nuked, and I will still use it to follow those artists I admire and friends who remain here, to deliver commissions and to make anouncements.
Thinking about my icon lately cemented this decision, remembering those who stood against censorship and stupidity and paid the highest price for an ideal of free speech. I can understand rules dictated by real laws, whatever dumb they can be. But this, that comes out of nowhere? In the name of "child protection"?? TOTAL BULLSHIT!!! It got absolutely zero value, and as everybody underlined, opens the path to completely arbitrary decisions from the moderation team since the "rule" is opened to any interpretation possible. Which is noticeably one of the definitions of a dictatorial management - quite ironic since one previous move implemented a rule forbidding the depiction of extremist symbols in uploaded pictures, ha ha ha... Becoming what you are focusing against is one of the most usual, eternal trap and FA jumps in it with both feet.
So then, I will have interacted here for 17 years and 6 monthes (almost a "majority", another omen?), which represents around 1/3rd of my life, I loved this site and its people but as the administrators told somebody, I'm "not a good match anymore for that community" that's building these days, a Twitter-like community of immature people without experience of life, without education, and above all totally egocentric and without any capacity for reflection.

And you're sitting here making baseless claims towards people who have had enough of FA's poor management and choose to leave to other furry art sites.

You're currently on a site that allows artistic depictions of bestiality and murder, what are you some kind of zoophile and murderer? Of course you're not.

I think I meant both together. Small flat chest character = would look like a kid to the moderation team eventually. The person I reply to with his small avian characters certainly is in the crosshair.
I don't see any obvious size difference in their gallery now, but if I did this comment there probably was some ; I think they might have removed it themselves or FA did. If so the I suppose they have to come to the conclusion they themselve were also drawing "pedo shit".

From what I've seen, artists at IB are a lot better about tagging their stuff properly, because IB's system makes it easy to tag things properly.
For one thing, it allows viewers of the art to suggest additional tags (very e621-like) -- and for another, when you start typing in a tag, it actually displays suggestions to help guide you in tagging things consistently with how other people have tagged similar submissions. (i.e. if you start typing "s-h-o" it will pop up with suggestions like "shorts (x) shortstack (x) shower (x) shoes (x)", etc., etc., with the numbers in the (x) indicating how many times that's been used before.)
It also requires a minimum number of tags to be filled out when a post is submitted -- and things like "sex" and "species" are (A) mandatory, and (B) are tag lists as well, not single-option drop-down selectors like FA, so if you have a multi-character picture you can correctly tag it as having both "male" "badger" and "female" "snow_leopard", or whatever.

Yes, there have been numerous hiccups by the past but until now I always credited the administration for their hard work or closed my eyes, for nobody is perfect and many stories can be told on both sides when you dig a little. But as I wrote in my latest journal, and as MANY confirmed, this last move is... Whimsical to say the least. And this shows an extremely profund and unpleasnt turn in the very mindest of the staff.
State of Utah will be requiring Adult Websites to have individuals located in state to submit their I.D. or Driver License before viewing said site.

Yes, the exercise of real expression freedom is extremely tricky, there WILL be things you won't be able to whistand. Accepting to live around people who display the exact opposite of your own values is immensely difficult, you must have achieved a lifetime of meditation and reached the Awakening for that. I am far beyond that myself, but I'm trying to relativize things as much as possible.

And answering to another comment up here: i don't really think your art got worse, at all. Maybe it's just scarcer in quantity but that's normal, we're adults.
I didn't draw much too before leaving my office work to work less hours and at home, it's just impossible sometimes, fitting everything in twenty four hours...

I've had infdeed several floating moments, moments of hard artblock strikes, moments when I stepped slightly back to observe how things were evolving following some concerning hiccups. I even totally disappeared a couple years following a sentimental breakdown.
But I NEVER said (please link me to such a statement if I'm wrong) I would eventually leave FA. On the contrary, I always said it was my only home and I would vanish as an artist if things turned wrong here. On this account uou can say I lied to myself indeed, but isn't it preferable?

Oh je n'ai réellement aucune prétention à être un artiste que l'on convoiterait, ma "perte" ne remuera pas un seul poil du staff, ils en ont laissé partir de bien plus importants que moi sans broncher d'un pouce.
Forcément que je prends tout ça à coeur, ça fait quand même presque 18 ans que j'y poste mes gribouillis, que j'y ai fait des connaissances et amis, que ses artistes m'ont transporté... Comme je l'ai dit, c'est quand même un tiers de ma vie ! Et j'enrage de voir cette saloperie de wokisme (dans l'acception française du terme) gagner ce site, partout je vois les libertés d'expression être bafouées et limitées, putain, des dessins, quoi........

I still have somebody to give me any valuable proof of something very wrong happening there, but curiously then everybody is only able to deliver unconfirmed gossips, or just simply vanishes.

I never heard about Newsground being a specialized art site, let alone a furry one. A site that's too general in its contents ends up being ergonomically weak in every content type. Just look at the very first comment here on this submission, absolutely typical: some random guy I never heard about before (not even watching me) comes up to post some diffamatory comment, blocks the page owner (me here) to be sure not to get any comment he won't like or any courteous/rightfully argumented discussion (what an horror!!!), then completely disappears despite being tagged by several other users.
