Hiya humans, back from a nice trip to my Bfs place for a bit and now I'm recharged and ready to share more of my wonderful concept.
The year is 1921, prohibition is in full swing after a year of enforcement and breweries are going out of business. Its gotten excruciatingly hard for most to find well sourced alcohol in NY not to mention the whole USA itself! People are growing desperate and resorting to homebrewed alcoholic beverages known as Moonshine, but the issue with that is not everyone has the expertise to just whip up shelf stable alcohol. Witch is where a Mrs. Lyle Lue comes in, with his dazzlingly beautiful wife Sally Lue who owns the perfect form of cover, a salon. Lyle isn't much of a business man or even good at selling products, but has the refined knowlage of the science behind alcoholic beverages. His wife Sally, has the instinctual charisma and witts to sell nail to a charpender she stole from his own pocket. So naturally they put their two expertise together in the ramshackle basement below Sally's run down salon her mother left her, and created the Sally Lyle Lue-Lue Salon! By day Sally runs the front desk of her establishment and tends to her clients, and by night her and her husband formulate the biggest brewing business in all of down town Manhattan! So keep your eyes out for these lovely folks for any of your daily needs. Hair care, nail care, advice, and a thoughtful mug of whatever ales you!
-on a side note I'd like to say these two were some of the most exciting people to draw. Especially while thinking of their dynamic, Sally is the very confidant and bossy woman who gets anything in the world she desires from her genius reclusive and solemn husband Lyle. Witch leads to their hair situation, being less well kept and very long. Sally had the brilliant thought that to make their business seem more interesting they needed a gymic, so she forced her husband and herself to never cut their hair so that any time anyone came into the salon they'd like whatever she does with their hair since it would look much better than her own hair. It's a little far fetched but intellect isn't really her strongest attribute, she's very artistic and creative though. However Lyle isn't, he's inabke to find a fitting hairstyle he knows how to imitate with long hair so he just puts it all in random ponytails to keep it out of his face. All in all they really love eachother and I can't wait to show you all what I'm invissioning with this comic, have fun yall!
