This is a portrait I did on my mother's request, for her friend and business partner Stas, for his birthday. She liked it very much, and frankly, he was very impressed and happy with it too. So I'm happy as well. Yeah, I finally started adding backgrounds to those portraits, and I believe that's a simple but effective improvement.

As for the poorer quality. Sorry for that, this time I took the picture to a nearby copy center and the scan they did.... well, let's say even I couldn't recognize the picture. My bad I didn't demand to see the file before I left. That same day I took the original to a frames shop so there was no way to scan it again anymore. So this is actually a photograph of the picture. I edited it in Ps to match the brightness and contrast with the original, but there is nothing I can do about the lower resolution and sharpness.
