Melee and Sharon find themselves journeying in search of a new place to set up their camp; the two usually can't stay in one place for too long for a number of reasons, and so they must trek about once in awhile to find a new place to hunt and survive. That means my dragons have to do quite a bit of walking sometimes, and that walking occasionally can take them to interesting places...

Usually, they stick to the northern woodlands of Sharon's homeland Ashleaf, but would sometimes leave for other parts of the kingdom like the grassy hills in the south or the treacherous swamplands to the east. This time, however... it looks like their wandering has taken them even further east, beyond the border and into a vibrant cerulean forest of large and tall mushrooms that are seemingly posing as a stand-in for the trees and bushes one would normally expect from such a place. Yes, Sharon's home had large mushroom trees, as well, but nothing quite like this! It's certainly a sight to see...

When moving between camps, the two dragons would occasionally talk to pass the time. It's typically Melee who does the talking; shy as he may be, he has plenty of stories from his time training under the adventurer Levvick that he's more than happy to tell to his red winged friend, but this time it looks like Sharon's keeping the conversation alive. She certainly appears particularly proud of herself here, seemingly bragging about something that at least has Melee's attention. My guess is that it has to do with that sword she's carrying - that's not her usual equipment*, and whatever she did to get the thing must've been pretty impressive! I wonder what she's planning to do with it...? Sell it, perhaps? Or maybe hold onto it for awhile in the hopes it'll make her look tough? Who knows?

Been awhile since I last got to commission Niix about drawing me something. Apart from a lack of ideas on my end, he just kept opening his slots when I was at work and could never access the forms in time because of that... but the planets aligned recently and I had a chance to hit him up once again on my day off! It's been so long since I last hit him up that I forgot just how much detail he puts into his lighting and backgrounds... I think he did a great job with the colors and giving the forest a "whimsical" vibe! I'm glad I got to hit him up again!

*The artist actually just tossed that in there because he likes to take artistic liberties when doing these commissions and I've already told him it's fine. Same deal with the pattern on Melee's skirt; I usually draw the pattern striped, but Niix seems to really prefer a checker pattern. I mean, as long as the colors are right....
