I'd totally hit it.

Contrary to popular beliefe, the barrel of a gun is never a good place to grip. Especialy when firing.

Or to put it another way...

You are about to set off several small explosions, strong enough to hurl a chunk of lead about 2 Oz. in weight several thousand yards that-a-way. The barrel will transmit heat and shockwaves to whatever it is in contact with.

Of course, the shock of firing will be felt through out the gun, but it is more highly concentraited in the barrel, where it travels along with the Round.

Actually, what she's gripping is a shroud around the barrel. with a bit more detail, (or in a photo of an MG38 or MG42), you'd see the barrel inside.

Still not a bright idea to grip it there...

Though maybe she could grip it by the husk!

Aside from that, I have no complaints, and even kind of like the pic...

actually I belive the firearm in question could be the Fg42 used by the German Paratroops in WWII, Love the little lass and I rememmber that storie.
