Sparky and Blaze - an Altered Encounter
Made in Gachalife, because I'm lazy.
My Cinder-twins, Sparky and Blaze, met up with their Alternate selves from the timeline where they were permanently conjoined.
...
Blaze Prime: "Oh cool, they join together like us sometimes!"
Sparky Prime: "Seems like it, Blaze! So you doin' that for this weekend? We were thinking the same thing, but Blaze decided against it, so--"
Sparky Alter: "Oh this? No, you don't understand, this is forever."
Sparky & Blaze Prime: "..."
Blaze Alter: "whatever you're thinking, it isn't like that! I'd never dream of retiring you, Sparks! It's just I got into an accident. and to save my life, my brother... Uh..."
Sparky Alter: "Heh, you guys may wanna grab a seat- this story's a bit of a long one...!"
...
Wait till they get to the part where they got married.
... to Jazz. They married Jazz the Lopunny. Why are you looking at me like that?

Yeah, that's sorta what I was banking on for the joke to work.
Sparky and Blaze, regardless of timeline, have a bit of a hard time explaining specifics.
Frankly they share a lot of the same social problems, being the same Cinderace magically retconned into twins, but I get ahead of myself.
I mentioned elsewhere that when they initially announced they were getting married to their fiance, Jazz, the Alter twins absent-mindedly left out the "to Jazz" part. Jazz herself had to chime in and fill in the blank.

True. Shame the Alter timeline is sorta considered a "bad ending" for Sparky and Blaze's story.
Happily married and enjoying early retirement, but all hope of Blaze growing into her own person, separate from her brother and "missing half", is utterly demolished now that they're technically whole again.
I haven't put this in anything yet, but I am saving it for the "Kills the Multiverse" storyline; they've even began referring to themselves collectively in a singular sense.
Using "I" and "Me", when they mean "We" and "Us", completely unaware they're doing it unless told that they're doing it. Even Jazz thinks it's unsettling.
