Was thinking about rebuilding my art guide collection. So I made this. Took me looking at a mirror and making faces for about an hour before I was happy enough with it. lol
This is a representation of how a human mouth moves when pronouncing certain sounds. Note, these are exagerated examples of the mouth motions. I put examples of the sounds with them to show how they work. I used to have a massive muscaluture and skelecature collection I'd drawn myself of animals of many types as well as the human body. Along with my current project I'll slowly be rebuilding that collection as I go as well.
I hold the belief that it's best to make things like that yourself instead of using a book all the time. Use a book if needed to make yours, but use yours forever after. That's a personal rule I've been slacking on.
I posted this because there's been a few people that have asked for a little training since I've told folks that while I'm far from the best artist out there, I have a lot of knowledge on building technique and developing a personal style. ^_^;
