Thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate and vote for us, "The Whiteboard" by Doc Nickel, and our collaboration, "A Sherlock Holmes Story," have won Ursa Major Awards for Best Comic Strip and Best Graphic Story!
If I had to lose, I'd happily lose to Doc, who's got one of the best-produced comic strips on the Web. :) Congratulations, Doc, and thanks for letting me write an award-winning story for you!
You can check out the presentation video and the other winners here:

Awww...! But such is the fickle fashion of Fandom. Tough competition, too. Doc's Nickel's "The Whiteboard" has always made me laugh and think, while "The Road to Rackenroon" has always been well thought out and delightfully funny. Both are the best examples of Anthropomorphic Animal comics and artwork, rolled into one.
I'll have to see if I can find "A Sherlock Holmes Story," as it reads like it'd be interesting to see how the collaboration worked out.
Better luck next year.
