Hellloooo, fellow guitarists (Well, I hope some guitarists are listening to this... OR ELSE...! ;o3)
Here is ma third self-made accompaniment, that I'd like to share with you. I made it especially to practice my 3-point-scales (or also 3-note-per-string-scales, which explains probably everything^^) This scale is mostly used for fast playing and shredding.
It has also a switch to a harmonic (or alternatively melodic)-minor scale in the 4th chord of the progression.
The chord-progression itself is a 2-5-1-6 which makes in this case a Cm7, F7, B7M, G7(originally minor, so that is the chord where you should swap the scale)

interesting and useful. i could never figure out how to get my hand around a fretboard without straining something so i'm more into keyboards and other stranger things, but a chord progression is a chord progression, whatever it's played on, or timbers used in voicing it. mixolydian mode is one of my favorites. as if i knew that much about it, combined with an odd but modular time sig.
Of course everyone is warmly invited to use this with whatever instrument he is comfortable. When I get my new keyboard next month I will probably practice to this one as well. I've learned playing on the keys looong time ago.
Odd but modular... like 7/4 which is divided into 3/4 + 4/4? or some more spanish stuff?
