This young lady is named Meddie, and is the fairy companion to the Floral Cosmics.

At one point in the distant past, Meddie was the actual Gorgon, Medusa. Similar to the myths, Medusa was unfairly transformed into a monster by Athena. Medusa would go into hiding to try and stay away from people so as to not turn them to stone, but would constantly have adventurers attempt to hunt her down. Eventually she would be killed by Perseus.

In death, however, she would find herself taken in by the Cosmic Tree, who felt that her fate in life was unfair. Mesuda was given a new chance at life by becoming a fairy, enabling her to live among other fairies and no longer having to live in seclusion.

Meddie no longer had to worry about turning other beings to stone with her gaze. In fact, while she could still control and command statues, she could instead use her gaze to make things cuter and more adorable. Through the use of her powers, Meddie could either temporarily or permanently change something into what she or someone else considered an ‘ideal form of cuteness’. Meddie also possesses snake-based magic.

Meddie is ultimately very energetic and friendly, though still fears from time to time being seen as a monster. Due to her past trauma, she can be rather clingy and needy for attention and being around others. She does not handle loneliness well.
