Chapter 10 - It’s A Mayday

It's the month of May! This might be the only chapter to cover May, the next chapter might take place in June, or there might be more to May. I haven't decided yet.
In real life, it would undoubtedly be much, much more difficult to deal with the desk drones at the DMV than it is here, but I'm gonna say the bulk of the groundwork was done by the hospital lawyers ahead of time.
Corwyn's mom did know that Benedict and Corwyn of Amber are only half-brothers, but the only full brother is Eric and that's such a boooooring name! Benny secretly enjoys his full name, but absolutely hates being called a traitor, and the fact that his mom used to always ask, "And how do you want your eggs, Benedict?" She never asked the others like that, and when he discovered there's a dish called "Eggs Benedict", the sheer weight of years of being asked hit him all at once. The resulting groan was deafening.
...It's probably a couple of chapters before we meet their parents. ^_^

No grains is really annoying sometimes, especially when you're not sure what counts! Any "new" food has to be eaten with care, just in case. And there's some big ones that she will REALLY miss, like cake. Can't have cake. Ever.
And yeah, Max is... He's Max. Very excitable, an enthusiastic fan. Completely oblivious to how awkward it is to ask the unwilling yinglet for advice on your yinglet character. >.>
But he's a good kid at heart. He doesn't mean anything bad.
