Since the place we were going to investigate was the ruins where ancient sorcerers conducted their research, I repeatedly reminded Phil before setting off not to touch the water in the ponds near the ruins. I warned him that there might be lingering magical effects in the water that could mess with our bodies. Even if he wanted to take a bath, he should at least wait until we were farther away from the ruins before looking for a water source.
But when I saw Phil walking back to the camp on all fours, I knew someone hadn't taken my words to heart.
He appeared somewhat sheepish and said:
“Hey, uh... you know, you've been telling me to watch out for ponds and all, but honestly, I was having a tough time buying it, you know?”
“So, I was just thinking, do you have any idea how to, like, reverse this?”
Well, at least I could carry a little less luggage on the way back.
But when I saw Phil walking back to the camp on all fours, I knew someone hadn't taken my words to heart.
