A late, late, late Christmas gift for guruubii on DA! I used the Daniel Smith colors she sent to create this :3 They're amazing, thank you so much!

Here is her adorable Abade, chasing what appear to be quite literally dragon-flies!

What is this cute thing, oh gawd! O__O I adore your colors, the variety in the background and how well it all works together is great. Also awesome touch with the "dragon" flies, love the whole thing!

Thanks! I think I spent about 70% of the time on the background alone :o I think the real trick is adding a tiny bit of white gouache to the very last layer and it 'smooths' everything out.

The textures in the background are absolutely incredible. I'm loving the angle that you drew this adorable Character Abade at. The wings blow me away. I always admire someone who can draw them properly. :D Wonderful work!
