I was commissioned by a friend to draw animals from Genshin Impact. Mostly for "human" characters which have unknown animal form. A five-tailed fox and a sea dragon/carp were the other options, but I think a bird will take the least time.

I don't play the game, so I am not sure if this is what Xiao/Alatus could have looked like. His Chinese name is 金鹏 Jīnpéng, so I assume it is quite important to remember that his wing is supposed to be gold coloured, even if his human form lean into green-blue-purple colour scheme.

The anatomy is quite bad, because this is a reference image. He is positioned to make it easy to see certain details.

I could have borrowed more design element from Peregrine falcon design, because I was told that Xiao's mostly plunge into the hapless preys underneath him until they are dead. However, the Harpy eagle head makes it easier to integrate his human hair into the design.

As long as I created a bird that looks like he eats demons for breakfast every day, I consider it a suceess.
