In January, the FurAffinity administration, shortly after deleting the message boards, quietly implemented a sweeping new policy that forbade the practice of "fetishizing" minors in any way, shape or form.
They did this despite having proposed such many times in the past, and every single time had it pointed out to them that, because of Rule 34, everything may be considered "fetish", ergo preventing fetishizing of any variety is impossible, and that much of the content being cited (namely vore) as being applicable was identical in nature to that commonly seen on children's television, IE: not all "fetish" stuff is porn.
The results were a disaster. Most F.A. users only became aware of the change when they or artists they were following received week-long suspensions over submissions that had sat quietly in their galleries for years. Many users deleted their galleries and announced their departure from F.A. in protest.
Now the F.A. admins are proposing sweeping changes that will make the January purge look tame by comparison. The only accounts that have not posted a "where to find me" journal are the ones that had been left abandoned years prior.
And the worst part of it all is that the admins are 100% aware of this and seem to be doing this deliberately. Or, at the very least, are definitely lying their tails off abou what they intend to do and why.
Since Fur Affinity has taken the stance against fictional content featuring minors in sexual situations, we have continued to evolve our rules to prevent minors from being exploited and to ensure that our rules are equally applied.
Our most well-known change removed the classic “1000 year old loli vampire” loophole trope by expanding our definition of minors to include humanoids with childlike body proportions, including canonically adult characters who look like children. Such characters need to be aged-up accordingly (proportions changed to that of an adult) to be allowed in submissions containing sexual situations. These changes were well-received, and based upon additional feedback from our community, any reports we receive of Pokémon or Digimon who have childlike body proportions or appear as adolescent animals will be treated as any other when in the presence of sexual activity, sexual objects, nudity, or fetishized in a sexual way. This update will go into effect on July 1st, 2023.
"Well-received"?
Seriously?
Either they somehow remained completely oblivious to what happened at F.A. in the wake of their original change, or the ensuing shit-show was exactly what they wanted.
I'm inclined to believe the latter, given that they barely even made it through a season before deciding to schedule an even bigger one.
A decade from now, this is all anyone will remember about F.A. Forgotten will be what changes precisely were made and in what order, or why the admins claimed to be doing it. Nor will anyone remember which artists were suspended, which artists announced their departures, or which artists purged their galleries and tried to hold on praying that things on F.A. would eventually get better.
And nobody will remember the full extent of the admins' incompetence, or their lack thereof. All anyone will remember is that, right in the middle of two raging shit storms, Fender -- the admins' very own Unicorse -- declared "this is fine".

I suggest that you put in your profile to which site or sites you moving so your FA watchers can follow you there. FA isn't the only one, exist: Sofurry, Inkbunny, Pixiv, Furry Network, Weasyl, DeviantArt, E621 and some others... of course each with their own rules and that allow different things, some of them don't allow stuff that FA allows and others allow stuff that FA don't allows. Is better go to sites that are friendly with your artstyle and your fictional preferences (and that don't charge you for upload your artwork).
Now many understands how is to be discriminated because of their artstyle and fantasies that damages nobody. FA is repeating history... again.

Gatomon is an especially poor choice for them to use because it is a Champion level Digimon.
They've effectively just admitted that the franchise in its default state would not pass their new rules.
The more I read, the more I'm convinced the admins actually couldn't give half a shit in Hell about "protecting the children" and that this is all just an excuse for one or more of them to go on a banning spree and nobody gives a shit why.
