Hi guys! Meet one of my older OCs- The Beast! Well, The Beast is more of his nickname… his real name is Grayson :V
——Grayson’s design was mainly influenced by two mythical beasts called the Gudanna https://pin.it/2bRegSe , and the Hundun https://pin.it/7jRrmuj I read about them in this old book that I had bought from my 8th grade book fair, called Fantastic Fearsome Beasts: Scary Monsters of Myths and Legends by Paula Hammond. He has the body of a bison and originally the limbs of a big cat, but maybe bear limbs would work too 🧐 Grayson has a *reads paper with a confused expression on my face* “endomorph” body type so picture a fairly-husky fella ^^ it was fun drawing a different body type as opposed to the muscular peeps that I’m used to drawing, hehe :)
——In terms of personality, Grayson is somewhat shy, and reserved; but makes steady improvement in his confidence. He’s quite the gentle-beast and respectful towards others but is definitely overprotective of his friends! He plays the electric guitar but only learned to play the songs from his favorite bands; which include ADTR, Skillet, Taking Back Sunday, and MCR! He’s 5’11” and over the age of 18 but I haven’t decided on a particular age for him yet :T he isn’t really a sports guy but still works out usually via running or manual labor. He will stomp on you if you try to poach his horns! Fair warning!
——Backstory : Back when I was 16 years old I was trying new genres of music to get into; this was when I started listening to bands like My Chemical Romance, Blink 182, and Falling in Reverse; I fell in love with the emo, goth, scene, punk, and overall alternative subcultures-especially the styles of clothing and music! :) I was still getting into art at the time, and wanted to create a furry OC as a result! This was around the same time I decided to create my other OC, Quoll (or Quasar) and I even made a comic involving the two that I might show later. I plan to add more to Beast’s design later ^^
