Since I’m really having a good time in my campaign, I wanted to share both the story (at least the synopsis) and the cast of characters involved. I left out some details for the sake of length, but this is the main point of how the story has progressed so far. It’s been a real shitshow in the most spectacular way.
The party, with no gold to their name and looking for a place to settle down, are forced to travel through The Dead Barrens. Tired, thirsty, and low on rations, they manage to find a tiny oasis with a small watering hole to drink and camp out. When night falls and the party prepares to rest, Eko, a Kobold Bard notices several glowing stones strewn about the small patch of vegetation. Curious and intrigued, they manage to find and collect a total of 10 palm sized stones, some more hidden than the others. Just as they’re about to show their findings to the party, the stones fly out of their arms and hover over the edge of the water, spinning rapidly as they glow bright yellow. The stones turn out to be enchanted items, turning the water into a portal.
The party stares in awe. Gron, a Gnoll Druid, experimentally put a hand through the portal, claiming it to not hurt and to feel quite cool in temperature. Nisha, an Apeling Monk coaxes Gron to stick his arm in further, but when he does, she trips him into it. Before the rest of the party has the proper time to freak out, they can hear Gron on the other side. Grabbing their items, they, hesitantly, enter the portal. What greets them is a complete 180 from the barren, humid dunes of the desert. They stood in a spring. A man-made spring. They didn’t know at that moment, but they had been transported to an entire oasis civilization. A massive kingdom that seemed to span on for miles. The party of seven was soon discovered and seized for questioning by the local guards, never seeing these strangers before. After a long interrogation, it turned out, there was a prophecy, that one day a group would stumble upon a long lost portal and open it on the night of a full moon. And with this discovery, a great evil would soon befall the kingdom, and destroy it. The band of misfits were now destined to stop and save the coming evil, or the mystical home of thousands would become no different than another sandy wasteland.
Cast Members (left to right)
Odin- Rhox, Fighter (Chaotic Neutral)
Gron- Gnoll, Druid (Lawful Good)
Void- Tiefling, Sorcerer (Neutral Good)
Nisha- Apeling, Monk (Neutral Evil)
Sourk- Aarakocra, Ranger (Lawful Neutral)
Thistle- Grung, Artificer (Chaotic Good)
Eko- Kobold, Bard (Chaotic Good)
I’ll be posting separate images of each character and talking about them each based on whats happened so far. All the PCs are awesome and have made our homebrew campaign an absolute wonder to play. This took me longer than I thought it would to make, but I’ve learned more about clothes and how to draw different species compared to what I usually draw.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWIEEEEE!!! 1st: LOVE their outfits! All so amazing, practical for their class, and so unique! ^!^ The part's lucky to have such a talented artist to help them visualize their characters! ^!^ And their species! Hehehe! so fun! All furries! XD Except the tiefling. XD But still, she's animal-ish.
2nd: Wonder where I can find the stats for playable gnolls, ronx, and apelings. ^!^ Heheh. Love Odin's design, obviously tanky, my favorite role to play.
3rd: DAMN, Odin's tall! He's considered large, I'm guessing, because he's clearly over the limit for medium, imo. XD That's full blown minotaur (monster manual, not the playable kind) size!
4th: Look forward to hearing more about them! ^!^
And lastly: Damn, your dm's taking on 7 players!? What a trooper. ^!^

Thank you! I was low key relieved that most of the party were furries, even if drawing a frog and a rhino took a lot of references, same for the armor and clothing. The Rhox and Apeling are homebrew races, so we had to play around and talk about any missing info, like Constitution Saves, but most of their race traits are fleshed out ^^
And yeah, Odin is definitely large, several times in the campaign Nisha has climbed on him XD
As for the DM, they are an absolute saint and fortunately have been DMing for a while, so 7 players hasn’t been too much of a problem, but man do we definitely cause them a serious headache XD

I'd imagine apelings are like hadozee, but without gliding, and rhox are like minotaur only a little different in some areas. ^!^ And not monstrosity types with a demonic origin. XD
Either way, nice work! ^!^ And as far as I know, gnolls would be homebrew too. ^!^
Hehehe! XD Nice! ^!^ He can use large weapons the get extra damage! And is someone uses enlarge on him, oh damn! XD
Hehehe! Yay! Glad to hear it. ^!^ BUUUUUUUUUT I'd still advise trying to help them out as much as you can. ^!^ Keeping track of EVERYTHING in combat together, memorizing your abilities and feats and stuff, learning the rules so you can help enforce them, taking detailed notes, helping them recall information, etc. Anything you can do to make it less work and more focusing on your dumb behavior. XD
