A former king of hell who was overthrown and stripped of most of his authority and power by conspirators who were jealous of all the influence he had amassed throughout millennia in order for them to climb up the ranks of Hell's hierarchy themselves.

With his state and demon armies divided and him marked for death, he had to flee to the human world, much to his wounded pride.

Once there, he knew that in his weakened state, he wouldn't even be a match for a seasoned demon hunter, let alone an angel.

But as luck would have it, he stumbled upon the young and naive Cole, who was still trying to make heads or tails of the situation he was in. The demons he was sent to eradicate were actually more cunning than the angel thought, and his naivete made things more difficult for him too.

Ramiel saw this as an opportunity and decided to use Cole as a means to regain a modicum of his former power. It didn't take Ramiel too much to defeat the angel, even in his weakened state. The angel wasn't a fighter for sure.

Cole was expecting to be eradicated but was surprised when Ramiel offered him a deal. He would devour all the demon's they'd hunt from now on and in exchange for helping him, he would make sure that Cole's sector and the people living in it wouldn't be hurt once he regained his former status one of Hell's monarchs.

Ramiel was already thinking what to do in case the angel refused, while he wasn't necessary for his plans, his absence would make things a little harder, and the moment his light went out, more of his ilk would probably show up looking for answers. His train of thought was cut short when the angel agreed rather easily. And a quick look into his big puppy eyes showed the guy actually believed his every word.

Ramiel let out a deep sigh. The poor angel had been obviously sent here without any backup in the hopes that he would get himself killed, that was just sad. Hell had a bad reputation when it came to treating those who were deemed weak and unnecessary, but Heaven could be crueler with those who didn't uphold their high standards.

Now known as Father Rami to the community, an unorthodox priest by day and demon hunter by night. He slowly keeps on replenishing his lost powers the more demons he consumes.

The process of "consumption" has been frowned upon by Cole many times, but the angel seems fascinated by it at the same time. Ramiel chuckles to himself every time the angel complains yet can't take his eyes away from the vile scene, perhaps Cole might prove to be an amusing company. It's been quite a few centuries since Ramiel corrupted an angel after all.
