Old-ish art done for a 2D art and animation course.
We had to design and render a character. It was great to learn how to use the pen tool, clipping masks and of course how to render. Material studies were also fun to do.

As for the character, Axel is a rather successful outcome of a super soilder experiment. Just like a real axolotl, he can regenerate most of his body parts. Almost impossible to tell the battle scars after a few weeks of recovery. Due to Axel's species not having vocal cords, he is mute, communicating using gestures and a text to speech device.
