This shiny new scalpel here will aid me in doing my work without question and without mercy. It is incapable of feeling such things anyway...
Having a short break from working on commissions at the moment and decided to do something for myself, a much needed new icon. I have had this image in my head for ages.
It gets very frustrating to me for some reason when it comes to finalizing contrast and colour, especially between the background and the foreground, in order to make the end product look as good as possible, especially for an icon to stand out. I think it ended up okay enough.

"No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering."
It looks like the scalpel is going directly for my eye. I think Lucio Fulci would have liked this image, he had a thing for eye gorging (and damage to eyes in general).
I love new, shiny medical equipment. One time when I was younger I had to pull a molar (it's roots were unbelievable long and grotesque) and the dentist had gotten a new pair of pliers that he took out from a box. It was extremely shiny and glistened like diamond in the strong, fluorescent light. I was it's first patient, my tooth would be the first tooth it would pull out from a bloody mouth. Not even the crunching sound that followed could make me uneasy, I was too busy to stare at the shiny equipment. When the roots finally gave after and the pliers got yanket out of my mouth they were covered in blood, and a long string of blood and saliva hang between the tooth and my mouth. The combination of all the red and white, and those incredibly shiny pliers is a scene I never will forget. It was beauty, agony, relief, all combined to form an art like scenario.
The next days I couldn't stop rimming the hole in my lower jaw with my tongue, it felt so weird to have a gaping hole where a molar used to be. Amongst all my deciduous teeth this molar was the most stubborn one. I think I can feast on this memory for the rest of my life. :D
Deranged psychopats with shiny medical equipment, that's one of the main ingredients of the thing we call desire.

Oh yes. shiny new medical equipment, ESPECIALLY the cutting tools, are just so beautiful.
And hmm... that is quite the graphically artistic scene there. Sometimes I really do not blame people with a fear of the dentist. There is just a different feel to when doctors work on your teeth and gums, as opposed to working on your skin and flesh. The scream of the drill and the smell of your enamel and dentine dissipating into the air, after which your pulp cavity may need calming down with a big dose of numbing substance via hypodermic needle. That is just ONE aspect of it though. Teeth removing, teeth replacing, dental surgery... Not really my favourite place to be, the dentists chair, but I really appreciate how they get rid of my toothaches.

*Chuckles* Shame I didn't catch this sooner.
Be that as it may, excellent presentation-it conveys the right mixture of sadistic cruelty from one that has little in the way of morals when it comes to inducing suffering, and a healthy dose of pleasure coming from that impending inducement.
Personally I find it more fun (For one of my favorite characters) to do such entertaining torture with the type of precision to make it painless-say, make sure they can watch as you peel away everything in a given place-so they can still feel the tactile sensation of your work. Being able to lay bare the bone as they can feel the tool and yet can't fight back...cruel and disturbing I know, but still.
Enywei-a couple of instrumentals yah can look up that I think would fit nicely with the image:
Good Night by SoundTeMP,
and TeMPoison by the same group.

Hmmm, I like your style. It is very difficult to avoid letting the victims experience the pain altogether, but it is possible to make it a little less, as you say, so they would be concious enough to watch and feel a little more.
And thank you for the instrumental suggestions. I quite like them. Ragnarok soundtrack is it?

Yeppers, before they were implemented into said game if I remember rightly. *Chuckles* I've had them for years. I collect music from almost anywhere, so long as it seems to fit something. Also dig up Bolero from Vanessa Mae. Good stuff, I think...but I digress.
Regardless, true enough-it is indeed rather hard to do something like I suggest...and I admit my character does 'cheat' a little, having a somewhat narcotic venom in his bite. It doesn't so much numb as dull the senses, and if enough is given can induce a respectable paralysis. *Grins* While it doesn't truly get rid of the ability to sense pain, it comes close enough that when he's having fun the experience is merely uncomfortable.

Yes! Anyway, it's a cool picture and to me it has bit of a visual kei tone to it. Especially Necro Circus.

I just remember a german story I read about an IT-Guy who figured that the world is a simulated reality and the only way for the programmer to notice that something is wrong is if some severe exceptions pop up in the log file. He explains this in great detail, and then tells his victim that he has given him a drug to stop him from falling unconscious while he does his debugging.
Then he starts with the scalpel.
Then he starts with the scalpel.
*Its a stormy dark night, thunder booms, and lightning flashes as i walk into a lone house upon a hill raincoat drenched from the heavy rain. In one hand i hold a jar inside floating around is a eye ball bobbing in it confinment, in my other hand is a large breif case. As i walk into the only lit room the chimy fire roaring with you nestled in front of its warmth your chair casting a shadow upon me* Are you the mirth *My voice husky and exausted from a long trip*
The two barely visible amber eyes within the shadow looming before you narrowed upon hearing the words slip from your mouth. A series of subtle menacing laughs resonated from deep within his chest, before he responded with a soft but sinister tone whilst blatantly ignoring your question :"Ooh? What determined duty have you bravely come forth into my home without permission for? What you have within your grasp intrudes me..." He reached out with one bony hand to take hold of the large smooth precious stone situated upon his intricately designed cane leaning beside his chair, and tapped twice the carpeted floor with its base . "Come a little closer, I would love to hear of your reasons."
(lolwhat roleplay? :O)
(lolwhat roleplay? :O)
I shiver from the cold of the rain and feel a chill go down my spine from your echoed laughter from with your chest, but this chill was not of fear no... it was of burning joy for there was know doubt this was the very being I sought, my form unable to be truly seen within the shadows of my rain coat my Sapphire blue eyes and my twisted white smile the only thing visable. I walk up to the mirth but I was no fool I stayed a safe distance away but even at the distance it felt as if he was breathing down my neck :"Mirth I have sought you for many months": My voice husky and heavy but truthful. I hold up the jar first and set it down on the small table next to his chair showing the Eye that bobbed around within the jar no pupil or iris on it just a white glob :"I want you to transplant this into my left socket": I lift the brief case and open it large amounts of money falling out to his feet :"of coursethe money is just a small part of the payment": I pull out a bottle of Bloody Rose 13th Avnue Wine :"I know of your love of Wine, You see this bottle will be perfectly aged tommorrow but thats not the best part": I smile twistedly :"There are only Five Bottles in the entire world and I have decieded to be so kind as to give this to you as payment plus my own left eye as a treat": I look into his amber eyes not faltering one bit.
Mirth's eyed widened, the tip of his slick red tongue played upon the sharp points of his teeth within his intensifying grin as he considered the situation before him. He picked up the jar with his free hand, and held it up to eye level, inspecting its contents under the orange glow of the fire , which played upon the reflection of the glass and the smooth surface of the eyeball itself. "Ah~ your offer is most definitely generous. But by approaching me here rather than through the hospital system, I think that all you need to bring is yourself. for I actually absolutely love unexpected visits, with delightfully unexpected gifts..." His thoughts drifted away to the eventual sensation of a warm eyeball sliding down his throat, and quite possibly more from there.
" Come now, I can get to work straight away , as I have an operating room conveniently located under my mansion for special clients such as yourself." Mirth lifted himself from his seat, and cast a sly smile down toward your gaze. "You must be up to something no good for wanting to do it this way...I like that." His voice deep, trailing off to almost a whisper.
He gestured you to follow him , out of the room, through a labyrinth of hallways and down a long spiralling stone staircase. Eventually, they were within a long dark dingy concrete room, which seemed to go on forever into darkness, many doors lining its walls, and stopped in front of one of them. "Here we are, now come on in, go ahead and lie down on the operating table while I get things sorted out. " he said while looking down at you, within his mind brewing tantalizing graceless intentions.

I smile and chuckle darkly as I followed the mirth and his comment of me being up to no good making me drool a little as I walked in the shadow of the mirth watching the mansion turning from beautiful to old and anchint as we walked past almost at least a hundred doors as our foot steps echoed in the stony caverns I sworn I heard a scream from behind a door we passed when mirth grabbed my attention with the view of a operating table I nod and lay down on the colder then ice surface my form remaining a shadow inside my rain coat as I look at the mirth giving one last twisted smile as my mouth and right eye close dissaperin in the darkness of my form my left eye gleaming brilliantly blue open wide for its last use to me.
Mirth closed the door of the icy cold operating room, and reached into a nearby metal cabinet to pull out a long sleeved white coat, in which he simply wore over his formal clothing. After doing so he loomed back over you, quickly but silently reaching below the table and pulled out steel shackles, which he quickly snapped over your wrists. "Do not be alarmed. This is standard procedure for my patients who find themselves being worked on down here. " He grinned, and then shackled your ankles. "I tend to go a little... overboard in the comfort of my own home. I have no one to fire me. "
He reached back into the cupboard and brought out a syringe. "This is an anticoagulant, which will help stop your blood from clotting in the middle of the procedure. Because that would be a shame for the success of your transplant, and the pleasure of my own." Mirths tongue trailed out upon his lips as he eased over and brought the needle close to your face, its sharp point entering below your exposed eyeball , and releasing a squirt of its contents into the flesh and blood underneath.
<i> Hmmm... the density of his flesh feels quite unusual. </i>
Mirth reached for the hood of your coat. "I will have to pull this back, if you don't mind"

My Eye watches the Mirth through each step ecording it into memory as he loomed over me his shadow casting me in his darkness as I feel the numbing cold clamps of the shackles on my wrist and ankles his speed was suprising as I found myself stareing down the needle of a syringe. I laugh at his comment to me my laughter echoing threw out the basement of his mansion as the syringe penetrates my flesh sending my in a laughing fit of joy, but that quickly died down as he reached for my coats hood his question making my grin reapper wider and more twistedthen ever before as I give the mirth a calm nod.
Mirths eager air for a moment transformed into surprise , his mouth slightly agape as what he witnessed before him, the all too familiar reflection of himself staring right back. He pondered for a second, and took a closer look at the detailed of your biological composure, every familiar crooked tooth down to the detail of the patterning of a finger print. From there, his calm and sinister disposition returned upon his visage.
"Surreal! There is a chance something could naturally be born and grow into looking exactly like another down to the very tiniest of unique features."
He picked up a scalpel from the tray, next to him, and held it up to your throat, its cold metal blade brushing against your olive green skin , identical to his own.
"Tell me, creature. What are you? If you interest me enough I may let you go tonight. I may have heard about your kind before..."
Mirth had a profound interest in anything physically real that he could not fully understand, and would go to extreme measures to find out more. Initially he had intended to make a meal of this stranger, but it appears this may go somewhere even more entertaining, not to mention challenging.

*I smile widly at the mirth expression and chuckle very very darkly as he enspected me and I Burst into another laughing fit when I feel the cold scalpel against my flesh drawing a little blood. I stare into his eyes and smirk after calming down :"You wish to know somthing I wish to have somthing its only afair trade..": I let out a soft purring like sound :"I was once a human filled with light I had once shined so brightly....": I Smile as I reminised :"But then in a instant everything change... I had experienced three great tragedys the strain was to much my heart snapped and then the darkness came for me engulfing me into the depthes of its twisted world I do not remember my name.. but I escaped but my body was completely consumed and changed into what I am today...": A crystal like tear trals down to the table before my twisted smile returns :"You want more info then give me what I desire..": I chuckle.
