This is my 2022 remake of my OC/Fursona's ref sheet. The one I previously made was in 2018 but I decided I wanted to try making dragon scales for the first time, and show a bit more of his body rather than the uniform. I was worried that I was going to screw up on the scales, but... dude... I nailed the scales. I LOVE HOW THEY TURNED OUT!
The first ref sheet only showed eyes and horns as draconic features, but now I wanted to add much more draconic anatomy to him, so I applied dragon scales and Eastern dragon noodle whiskers. Honestly there's so many Western Dragon characters out there, so I decided to go with some Chinese Dragon features. The spines you see prodding out from his scales are usually only there when he's ready to fight.
The idea and base for the pose I wanted to use him in, is credited to MerryDesigns, from Dreamstime.
