“Mom” said a young Okvzin kid.
“Yes, Joshua?” Oa responded.
“Dad said he’s going to his expedition soon.” Joshua said “He also said if you need anything before he leaves the colony?”
“Hm, I think I don’t need anything here… Oh wait! Tell him to bring his copy of his new book and my journal. I almost forgot about it.
“Okay. You going to stay here, right?” Joshua asked before cautiously said “And uh can I stay here with you?”
“Yeah, I gotten slightly bigger overtnight. So I’ll spend the rest of my pregnancy here.” Oa answered, she then smiles “Of course, sweetheart. Although I thought you were interested and wanted to go with your father?”
“I thought I could. I even ask him, but they said I couldn’t anymore, saying I was still too young for this one big trip.”
“Oh, one of his daring travelling expeditions was it? Ahh, reminds me of that time I went exploring in the deepest jungles with him during our honeymoon. Ah I remember spraying my leg and he had to carry me until I heal. That does bring good memories…” Oa sighed which got her thinking.
Has it really been almost Six years? She felt like it was only yesterday when she had her first clutch of larvaes. Their family sure had grown exponentially, that they even needed a place for the drones, which is how they establish the Zelot cavern. This is were Oa is currently residing until she lay the eggs.
“But if you wait a little longer you’ll soon be big enough, you are growing pretty fast afterall!”
“I guess so, but I want to explore with him on these bigger trips so badly!” Joshua said grumbles, before being pated by their mother.
“Your time will come! Now go tell your father and help him bring the rest of the stuff!” After saying these words Joshua went ahead. Which left Oa waddling on her own which got her thinking again with her current brood. She just so enamorated by her current cheer size of it all.
It’s strange, she assume she would just had a max of 10 kids for each pregnancies, but each one seems to be vary in the most bizarre way possible. From having a rugby stadium worth of kids in one, and then having less than quads the next batch. Some even affected her mutations that she thought she wouldn’t have, once she shrank her size at one point but left her kids the same size, another were her gestation period was way shorter which resulted in a fast delivery as well, to having two heads which got her disoriented. But it gotten more ‘normal’ with the last few kids, well as normal as an ozkvin typical should have. As her latest round of kids this time was probably numerous. Probably the biggest pregnancy she had at that point.
Hopefully she’ll have these little drones in the next two months… Unless it’s sooner.
