usually in transformation stories the old-self is just gone, if not then the new-self is in total control and the old-self is a prisoner in their on body
i would like a story where the 2 selves reach some sort of compromise where they find a way to co-exist

for the present conflict the ideal would be first finding out why armyboy likes the army so much, from then they could try to find a outlet for armyboy wants that's more agreeable to Ryen
from then any major life decisions would all need to come from a agreement between the 2 selves
on a day to day scale it would be all about compromise and boundaries, sometimes dealing with things you aren't a fan of for the sake of one another, but also establishing clear limits on what they're willing to put up with, kinda like being in a relationship
