After having built their empire, the Mettaurian Army had faced further problems of their own within their territory. People across Africa, South America, Middle East and Southeast Asia sought to eradicate them. Forces outside the territory have ceased fire as fighting the Mettaurians continuously had proven to be futile and pointless. The Mettaurian War had ended in a stalemate between the Parliament Alliance and the evergrowing Mettaurian Empire.

Throughout the Mettaurian War, the countries and sovereign states were losing their fight against the Mettaurian Empire's nationalist regime, however that had changed after numerous Mettaurian forces became radicalized. Some grew more violent, destructive and forged factions of their own, some even became mutated and more powerful than the common Mettaurian. The XEN Corporation was formed after a Mettaurian terrorist group, known infamously as Downcast, tried to use the Corporation to instill a far more vicious regime than the commons' Empire. The War against the Darkness was continuously ongoing, as it was, for the Mettaurians, a war against themselves, a war on terror, a war on a greater evil.

In 2015, by the time the empire had gained its full potential, the empire had divided itself into numerous factions and ranks, Mettaurians were fighting each other for power, seeking to gain recognition for their abilities and their motives. The Parliament Alliance was inevitably dragged into the fight once more, but this time to help the Mettaurian Empire rebuild and unite itself and prevent the Downcast from creating an ever-greater catastrophic disaster that would take more lives than anticipated. The Downcast even plotted a second 9/11 against the United States by destroying the Freedom Tower, which fortunately never came to action.

By 2017, the XEN Corporation was built as an ally of the Mettaurians' common Empire, but the crisis had only gotten bigger; this time the Downcast had allies, like the Blackwing NSP, the Diamondbacks, the Ghost Folk, Reign of Darkness, Nocturnus and the Cyclic Order. The Mettaurian Empire's nationalist regime had crumbled and was replaced with a Federation.

The Mettaurian Federation was in full-swing, but was still struggling with the Downcast's new alliance. The XEN Corporation and Mettaurian Federation, along with Nexus Industries' private military company, Generation X, all started to collaborate together along with the Parliament Alliance to create an ever-greater alliance, one that would have all rivalling factions see through their differences and never raise a blade or a barrel against each other. It was the only way to stand a better chance against the Downcast's allied forces and to bring a halt to the War against the Darkness, and a war against Terror.

This unification of allied and rival factions had become the Unique Alliance. The league of terrorist regimes or forces of Darkness had become the Legion of the Void.

The common Mettaurian Federal soldier was equipped with an M38 Fallschirmjäger helmet, which had replaced the M1918 Stahlhelm. Because the M38's design provided thicker plating and further protection of the head and magnetic studs, the M38 helmet was also laced with the same thin yet protective anti-material layer around the lower brim of the helmet. During this age of evolution for the Mettaurian Army, soldiers were now equipped with kevlar vests and knee pads for improved infantry defense. The weapons they had used have also been upgraded into slightly less outdated weapons or improvised weapons that were upgradable and adaptable to their environments. The weapon listed here is the Calico M105 Carbine.
