awesome work holy shit. wondering what oil pastels youd recommend, seeing your work has really gotten me itching to try them again but i haven't touched em since high school. the way that you approach form+color is just such a treat to look at

this is using caran d ache 24 set neopastels, nice range of colors, blends well, layers nicely, decently opaque (besides the yellows). This is the first time I've tried using actual artist quality ones so I don't have a wide range of experience with them, I mostly just use oil paint

I've heard people use senneliers for final layers as well, since they're so soft they'll adhere without picking up the layers underneath

I also used spray shellac as a kinda-fixative, still moveable if you scratch the pastels since they don't really dry, but gives a v nice gloss after a few coats and can let you layer over if you want to add to the drawing but it's gotten too thick
