A tear nearly came to his eye. He didn't deserve this, not by his measure. He was simply a dragon seeking to ease the pain he caused in his past life. Forgiveness and love is not what he sought, he didn't deserve it!

Yet, here it came. This wonderfully giddy and, frankly, adorable fairy dragon insisted she make a crown of flowers for him. That look in her face. That precious innocent grin. He hadn't the heart to turn her away despite how wasted he believed the gift was on him.

Maybe she meant it like that. Maybe she knew. Melting his stubbornness with sheer sweetness.

Come on old boy, Ivoghrah thought to himself. He could just feel his tear ducts start to quiver, you can hold out just a little longer.
