My latest work with props and my first time drawing a composition of views instead of just one. The F4F wildcat and its variants is an aircraft I have a great love for, and what better way to express how much it's my favorite than this! The character Ferris is a General Moters-Eastern Aircraft FM-2 wildcat, the last production model of the friend-shaped fighter. I got my inspiration from the airworthy example housed at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach (a museum I have so thankfully visited!) among the aesthetic styling of 1940s advertisements and US Navy recruitment posters. Ferris as a character is one whom I wish to develop more; I need to write a story and background for him, something to really explain who he is in my head. Whenever that's going to happen, I've got no idea! Going into the future, definitely expect to see more of this guy!
