Now that my computer problems are (mostly) solved and that I (sadly) have more time to draw again due to my newest unemployment, I try to get a little more into drawing again. This one here is a little warm up. I sketched it a few weeks ago. Again in the Airpatrol-verse. The bunnies in the radioactive exclusion zone of Chernobyl have by 2060 mutaded so far that they jumped over a few evolutionary steps to hominids, developing a cargo-cult style hunter-gatherer culture amidst the runins of the city of Prypiat ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prypiat_%28city%29 ). These two warriors have found tracks of an intruder.
I got the idea a few years ago, when I read a (probably exaggerated) report in a newspaper that rats in the the Chernobyl exclusion zone have mutated to the size of Altasians (I´m sure they are just as big as cocker spaniels). I got the idea of a primitive culture of rats in that area, but dropped it since I allready had a sentinent rat-anthro species in the Airpatrol-verse, the Labra. Then I tought about a tribe of mutated Squirrels, but during an walk in the evening when I saw a bunch of bunnies in a small park (they are literally EVERYWHERE in the parks of Frankfurt) I got to bunny-rabbits, because the thought that cute little bunny-rabbits form a tribe of fierce savage warriors was hilarious to me.
