An arctic wolf looks out over the tundra from his vantage point, waiting for signs of the caribou herd.
I wanted to try several different techniques with acrylic while trying to learn how to paint, and this is what came out of that experimentation. This is NOT a digital piece, but a real acrylic painting.
The original is a 23" X 39" acrylic painting on Illustration Board

me three. It took me a couple of years to find out who the artist is. I was overjoyed when I finally found out. Goldenwolf is an amazing artist. I saw some of her work in person at Nekocon a few weeks ago.
So glad I found out who makes all these amazing pieces.
You are a great artist.

Holy crud! I found it! I remember when I first saw this on the furry page in Wikipedia and thought," wow, what a great way to represent the fandom". I was so pissed when they changed it to those creepy/crappy pieces of... art I guess? It totally made me feel comfortable with my chose in the fandom. You should totally put this back in there. Is it possible to buy the original?
I actually OWN a shirt that has this image on it. It was purchased a number of years ago at the Iowa 80 truck stop as I was passing through on my way to California. I's in my closet right now and even through it's kinda worse for wear, it still clearly shows this wonderful piece of art on it and i still wear it to this day. it's one of more comfortable shirts to wear around the house when I'm relaxing.
As others have said, This is a magnificent piece of art, and truly a masterpiece.

I KNEW IT!
i knew this piece belonged to you! i saw it on a "dream catcher" over in Gresham, Oregon in the store we call the "ding and dent." i didn't know if you had sold it or not and i thought it might be copy right infringement for it to be where it was.
i just wanted to find the picture and tell you... i don't know if there is cause for concern or not.

This piece of art is an interesting memory for me, if a little bittersweet. I used to search for furry art years ago from a computer that my parents could easily see what I was doing if caught off guard. I'm not aware that they ever caught on, they never said anything, and I'm sure they would have with the prevalence of gay over straight furry art back then, let alone the furry aspect raising questions. One day I opened a present of wolf shirts, and this was one of the shirts, my mother saying she did not know if I would like it. My mother was always observant, and could easily catch on to things I was doing. I never inquired, nor came out of the furry closet, but just said i liked it and it was still special to happen to get that shirt. The cherry on top, GoldenWolf already being my favorite artist back then. And for some reason I have a pristine duplicate when I lose enough weight again.
