As a natural hybrid of two supernatural creatures (even if she doesn't know it) Nanashi is host to a bunch of unique traits. One of which is the gem on her forehead, usually hidden under the swathe of her hair unless she's stressed out or embarrassed, but the other is her *eyes*. Black sclera, metallic heterochromia, stars in her pupils, a combination of embarrassingly unique traits.
It's why she keeps her eyes shut most of the time. Eyes like hers would just get laughed at, right?
