Yeah, I got to see Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 in theaters. I was absolutely emotionally destroyed by it. No other movie theater experience has wrecked me quite like this one. Like it’s literally everything I could have hoped for. Genuine animal abuse has always made me misanthropic among other things, and seeing these traumatic experiences Rocket went through genuinely hit me hard. Like, it kind of reminded of some of my own childhood PTSD. My experience granted was probably not as bad as what Rocket went through, but it was still horrible and I don’t know if I feel comfortable talking anymore about it. Also, Guardians of the Galaxy was what got me into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the first place, so seeing this be the conclusion really made it hit extra hard for me. I don’t remember a moment I cried as hard as I did in a movie theater. That’s how good it was to me.

I mostly drew Rocket’s uniform from memory so it’s probably not 100% accurate to what he was wearing in the movie. Also I’m not the biggest fan of how he’s drawn most of the time in the official comics. Like I’m pretty sure that most of the comic book artists at Marvel are better at drawing more humanoid characters than Rocket. Most of the time I’m just irritated that his muzzle is drawn too short or his eyes don’t look right. I genuinely feel like I’m doing more justice drawing him in my style, or maybe I’m just being cocky.
