Sorry to have scared you. I thought, the speedlines were enough to show, from where the blaster bold is coming, but on a second look, it appeared, as if someone had shot poor Voolvif into the back and the projectile comes out of his chest.
I don´t plan to stray from the canon.
The only thing, I need to spoil is, that Voolvif really gets badly injured, as can be seen on page 1: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42106505/
In short, we are heading towards the moment, that was shown on this page, so to say, all the pages so far were a long flashback.

It's testament to just how strong the bond really was that Captain Curious could manage to hold onto this shred of resistance even just for this long, though all that Voolvif can really do is to heed his words and run, though the next shot likely will not miss. Though regardless, the trauma of this moment and the guilt will likely forever haunt Captain Curious if he does survive.
Though I imagine the next few pages will be a rough ride for Voolvif, given the start of the story where he was grievously wounded and I think we're headed for that point now.

I partly agree. But from what I have rade in various media, it sometimes depended on the treatment, how the Clones reacted towards order 66. Some followed the order without hesitation, those were the ones that were treated like ordinary soldiers, tools of war. Those that felt hesitation and conflict, were those who received better treatment and formed bonds of respect and friendship towards the Jedi.
For example: In the legends comics, the Jedi Quin lan Voss often showed the clones he commanded, that he dispiced them. And as order 66 was given out, the clones gave it their all to kill the Jedi, even using cruelty against innocent bystanders.
The clones under the command of Deepa Billaba had a bond of comraderie towards her and her padawan Kaanan Jarrus. They followed order 66, but some commited suicide afterwards because of feeling guilty.
