yup, it was the ancestor of the lobster, it lived before the Dinosaurs around 438-408 million years ago. :3

Actually it wasn't; lobsters are simply oversized shrimps, while eurypterids became extinct without leaving descendents (sorry I had to)

Its alright, I don't know much in science. I always just put things together based on looks and stuff. Very interesting btw.

The closest living relative to the eurypterids are the horseshoe crabs.

It does look cool. What I like best about this pic though, is the sandy bottom. The ocean floor. That turned out really good. I think so anyway.
