Where once my steps were swift and sure,
Now they falter, uncertain and pure.
The words I knew, they slip away,
Sunbeams gone at the close of day.
And still they rush, they do not see,
This world that's slowly fading from me.
Their laughter, their sorrow, their joy, their pain,
Echoes faintly, like distant rain.
So I never ask them to slow down,
I never ask them to stop.
In their rhythm and in mine,
We dance to the endless tune of time.

I started this piece almost a month ago, but I ended up hitting a block midway through the background and it sat unfinished for a few weeks. Finally powered through and completed it. I learned a lot while working on this and made a bunch of changes in my workflow to hopefully speed up future illustrations.
I'm thinking of offering commissions for character sheets, let me know if you have any interests in them!
