Here is one of the other officer characters for my Cat Wars story, officer First Lieutenant Yakov Artem Kozlov, one of the 3 officers in charge of the main group my story will be focused with.

Officers are armed with a Makarov pistol and a field sword. Of coarse an officer can arm themselves with better weapons, but they have to get that from the battlefield, since officers are not meant to be fighting right with the soldiers in an assault, because the high command hates losing an officer with such experience that way. There are two types of Officers in the Cat Union, Desk and Field. Desk Officer means your not on the front line being shot at while fighting with your squad/company and Field Officer, well, the opposite.

Yakov has an odd position, he's a mix between a Desk and Field Officer, since his uniform is Desk Officer yet he's on the front line. Then again, Yakov feels it his duty to properly coordinate the artillery and troops at the front then from the rear. Also, Yakov is Sergei's man for ideas, unless Sergei doesn't have the time for Yakov's ever so long thinking mind, he goes to Sofiya for a quick idea. Yakov dislikes Sofiya for this, since quick ideas he disapproves of. Ever since Sofiya joined, she and Yakov have small conflicts of trying to out do each other for the Captain. They do get along, its just when the Captain asks for something from them, thats when their squabble begins
