Erf, haven't been shooting anything since Yosemite. My bad.
I lost this photoshoot! It happened right before Yosemite, and I totally forgot about it. My buddies started asking, "hey, how did the fire spinning photos come out?" "Didn't I get those to you?" "No." *blink* "oops."
Phorphaux spins in this shot. This technique was new to all of us.

phorphaux <-- PhorThanks for the photos! They are getting increasingly better at capturing the fire trails and stuff :3 I think when I get better... the shapes will become much clearer / easier to capture XP
Just as a side note: I used kerosene instead of white gas like I normally do. I'm not sure how it plays into your lighting config, but I know it burns hotter and with a little more smoke.
Got it, thanks!
Fire is tough to shoot. I'm still not to a point where I'm happy with what I'm catching. ;) The next time you're over here, I'll show you the odd graph I made with an estimated brightness over time of each of the spinners. Oddly, no two spinners were the same curve on the graph.
